Human Rights House Zagreb in cooperation with Office of Ombudswoman, Youth Initiative for Human Rights and European Grassroots Antiracist Movement organizes the international conference on “10 years of Anti-discrimination Act in Croatia” that will take place in Zagreb, April 25, 2019 in House of Europe, Representation of the European Commission in Croatia. Conference will take place between 09 AM and 04:30 PM.
Conference consists of 4 panel discussions are bringing experts from Croatia and abroad who will address different topics such as the role of ombudsman institutions in application of the anti-discrimination law, application of the anti-discrimination law in courts, the experience of application of the Croatian antidiscrimination law, and tackling discrimination on local and regional levels.
Introductory remarks will be made by Lora Vidović (Ombudswoman of the Republic of Croatia), Ivan Novosel (Director of Programs, Human Rights House Zagreb), Anne Gaspard (Executive Director, EQUINET), and Alen Tahiri (Director, Office of Human Rights and National Minority Rights, Government of the Republic of Croatia).
Conference is part of the project Network of Towns/Cities and NGO’s against Racism and Discrimination, jointly implemented by Human Rights House Zagreb, YIHR Croatia and EGAM. The project is financially supported by European Commission through Rights, Equality and Citizenship Programme, Government’s Office for Cooperation with NGO’s, and the Zagreb City Authority.
The working language of the conference is Croatian. Interpretation to English is provided.
