Since November 2015, The Human Rights House Zagreb, in co-operation with partner organizations: GONG, The Center for Peace Studies and the organization B.a.B.e. – Be active. Be emancipated, is working on the implementation of the project “Education for Citizens – Citizens for Social Development and Solidarity”, realized with the financial support from the pre-accession IPA funds of the EU, and with the aim of strengthening the capacity of civil society organizations to ensure the effective implementation of the EU human rights standards at the national level.
The publication “Citizens for Social Development and Solidarity” is one of the outcomes of the same project (“Education for Citizens – Citizens for Social Development and Solidarity”). Over a period of 16 months, from November 2015 to February 2017, Human Rights House Zagreb, in cooperation with partner organizations, has conducted numerous and varied activities within five counties: the City of Zagreb, Vukovar-Moslavina, Zadar and Sibenik- Knin County; while including primarily civil society organizations on the local level and/or member organizations and individual members of the GOOD Initiative, but also young people, Peace Studies students, vulnerable and minority social groups, local educational institutions, media, local government and local self-government representatives, as well as the interested public on the local level.
