The association “Eko-Zadar”, in cooperation with Human Rights House Zagreb, is organizing – on Monday, February 20 2017 at 6:00 p.m. in the Zadar City Library – the public forum called ” Civic Discussion: The Future of the Area of Former Army Barracks Stjepan Radić“.
Among the participating panelists will be Mr. Šime Erlić, Head of the Administrative Department for the EU Funds of the City of Zadar, who will give talk about the anticipated projects of the City of Zadar in the area of the former army barracks “Stjepan Radić” (Initiative “For the Quarter”, Center for Youth), respectively about the plans of the City of Zadar for this area; and Mrs. Nina Ninčević, board member of the Association of Architects of Zadar who will speak on the role of the architectural profession in the future development of this area; as well as sociologist and journalist Diana Magdić, president of the Split association “Teserakt” and Dražen Hoffmann (GONG). The representatives of the institutions located in the former barracks have also been invited to take an active part in the discussion.
The forum will present an opportunity to start an open dialogue on the possibilities of the future use of this attractive urban area with significant potential for the local community.
